2010 woo hoo baby!!
hello new year! hello new resolutions! hello a fabulous new Sarah!! I have high hopes for this year, I'm thinking it's going to be WAY better than last year! it's all up to me to change my life and my circumstances so thats what i'm going to do! its time i take charge of my life and live the way i want to. I'm not here to please anyone but myself and thats what i'm gonna do. its time to take care of Sarah. I know it might sound a little selfish but its what I need to do for myslef. I have been too caught up in other people's shit for too long, its time for me! its the year of Sarah lol :) Anyone who wants to jump on board will be warmly welcomed with open arms! But if anyone is here to sink my ship, bring me down, or spread negative energy, they will be forced to walk the plank and get the hell out of my life :) I don't have time for that or any need for that in my life right now, or ever as a matter of fact! lol...well, hope everyone has some great resolutions this year and they remember to take care of themselves!

Christmas Spirit
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday, I know I did! :) It was a short time at home, I was only able to come home for about a day and a half, but it was a good time with great company! We had a fun time opening gifts and a giggle-filled dinner!! First, we went to Annie's on Christmas eve. We opened presents and then had dinner with lots of good company. Then I helped Annie set up her new iPod and we watched White Christmas :) Then Christmas morning brought more presents and smiles with Dad and Chris. A yummy breakfast and a nap took up most of the day. Then another yummy dinner with tons of people over!! Steph got to join us for Christmas dinner which was nice since she couldn't spend it with her family. Then Steph and I headed back to Chico for work today :( So Christmas is over, no more holiday music on the radio, no more anticipation for the big day and back to the daily grind.

finally the end of the year...
so this year's end is bittersweet for me. i am done with finals this semester and i'm getting a lot of hours at work so that is a relief and a blessing. my personal life on the other hand, is falling apart. my bf and i broke up and its killing me! i still love him and i hate being apart from him. i tried dealing with it by staying in my sweats and not getting out of bed for a day or so, i tried watching tv and hanging with my roomie (which did lift my spirits a little), i tried getting drunk and swearing him off (that did not work at all!).so i am at a loss, i dont know what to try next. so my holidays r a little less bright this year without him. and i only get a couple of days off work so i wont be home for that long, which is a definite bummer! it doesnt feel like Christmas when im not home for the decorating and the baking and all the fun Christmas stuff. oh well, i will try to make the best of it. im excited to see the fam! i need their support right now! im so grateful to have all of them!

long time, no post...
Wow, it's been a while since I've posted anything. So here's a quick update. Got to see a bunch of the fam a few weeks ago when we took a little trip to AZ. It was so great to see everyone and get some quality time with nana and gramps, aunt vicki, caleb and crystal. Then it was back to school and trying to catch up on the missed week of school. Then break for Thanksgiving. I had to stay in Chico for a few days to work so I only got to go home for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning. Not really a break...and it didn't feel much like Thanksgiving either. Maybe because I didn't have the whole week to relax and spend time with the fam and all that. It felt more like a weekend at home, and an AMAZING meal. Good food and good company, could you ask for anything better? So then it was back up to Chico for Black Friday night shift, and it was so slow! BORING!! Whatev...easy money! Today, I set up some Christmas decorations and listened to Christmas music for a while. Then I realized how much school work has to get done in the next 3 weeks, so I'm kinda freaking out right now :)
I love this time of year! I love shopping for my friends and family and I can't wait to see their faces when they open gifts Christmas morning. I love the spirit of this time of year. There is so much to be thankful for...the cooler weather that reminds me that Christmas is coming soon, the time spent with friends and family, the wonderful Christmaas music, the warm and nostalgic feeling I get when I see Christmas lights and trees all decorated. It reminds me of better days when we were all together for the holidays. This year is going to be very different. For one, Heather will not be home this year. She and Adam are going to spend the holidays with her new inlaws. She will be missed more than she knows! I probably won't be able to come home for long because of work, so that is going to make a difference too. Also Mom is in Redding so we have to split our time wisely so we can see everyone :) I want to wish everyone Happy Holidays and I hope they are just like the ones you remember from your childhood (those always seem to be the best ones :)!) I love you all and wish you the best of holidays!

I just got back from Arizona. My great Uncle Joe passed away, so we took a little family trip over to Arizona for the funeral. It wasn't a happy moment, or event, but we had a great trip. We got to see some family that we haven't seen in about 13 years so it was nice to catch up. It was great to see Aunt Anita again! She looked great. The last time I saw her, I was probably 7 or 8. My dad got to catch up with some of his cousins too. We got to spend some good time with Nana and Gramps which was amazing, as always! We got to see my Aunt Vicki, my cousin Caleb and his new wife Crystal. It was nice to see the fam again and to get the opportunity to spend some quality time together. And of course, there was a tractor ride involved! That was a good moment. It just makes me feel like a kid again :)
Now its back to the daily grind of school and work, but I'll manage. Only a few weeks left til Christmas break, and I cannot wait! I'm trying to get everything squared away for next year and apply to Sac State. I probably won't be in Chico (or as Caleb calls it, CA-HICO) next semester. I'll move home and work and save up my money for grad school. It will be nice to be home again and reap all the benefits of living at home...home cooked meals, a warm house, no bills, rent- free! I am so lucky that I have a family that will support me and care for me! I love them all deeply and am so grateful for all that they do for me! :)

So I went to San Jose on Friday to take a tour of the campus and to get a feel for the area so that I would be prepared when I go there in a couple years for grad school. It was a nice tour, pretty nice campus, and lovely weather! All in all, it was a good trip.
Last week was absolutely crazy! My tests went well I think. I know one of them went really well, I aced it! I'll have to wait and see about the other ones. I have another test this week...physiology! This is the one I am really nervous about.
So overhaul isn't going so well. I need to get re-focused and back on track. It's really hard to do by myself, especially when midterms, and studying, and life get in the way!
Anyways, I think that is enough for now. I'll write again soon :)

Crazy Week Ahead
This week is going to be long and stressful. But i get to go home this weekend andI'm going to San Jose for a campus tour. So I just need to keep my eye on the prize: a nice weekend at home! So this week I have a geography midterm, an anatomy lab exam, an anatomy lecture exam, and a physiology outline to write. WOW! I'm not sure if I can make it...But I have the house to myself this weekend and the weather will be chilly so it makes for perfect conditions to stay inside and read! woohoo...not! Anyways, I'll keep you posted on how the week is going. Gotta get back to studying :(
